Tutoring…what the world needs now

What a year it’s been. The pandemic of 2020 spilled over into 2021. Our children were learning virtually for a short while or long while. And it’s not ideal. Kids can learn beautifully from home. We educate our kids at home 3 days a week, but it’s a different ballgame than learning online over a screen for an extended period of time.

Being long-distance from the teacher is one challenge that has created learning deficits. Also, due to wearing masks, there has been the inability to read teachers’ facial expressions and see the proper way to pronounce words. This has been a huge problem, especially for preschoolers and Kindergarten children learning to read.

We now have a nation of children who are months or weeks behind where they should be going into the next grade.

Our tutors have a big heart for students who’ve braved this past year and need reinforcement. They use their extensive classroom expertise and the state education standards to diagnose areas of learning gaps. They tutor intentionally to fully prepare children for the grade ahead.
